
Area Representatives
Area representatives recruit new ASCR members and, when required, canvass members within their area to determine their opinions on critical strategic issues. The Board seeks input from the area representatives on strategic issues, and keeps them fully informed on all Board activities and decisions.

Dennis Arksey Dennis retired from the Company in 2004. He held numerous assignments including Store Manager Nanaimo and Store Manager Moose Jaw. He will be supporting ASCR in the Victoria and Nanaimo retail stores. |

Bob Atkinson Bob retired from the Company in the Fall of 2002 after 35 years of service. He held a variety of positions including Director Human Resources, Support Operations and Human Resources Manager, Information Technology. Bob will be supporting ASCR in the Victoria and Nanaimo retail stores. |

Phil Barley Phil retired from the Company in 2010 after 37 years of service. His career included 18 years in HIPS HVAC Sales in Newmarket, 20 years of personnel management assignments including Store Superintendent, Yorkdale & Newmarket, and many years in National Personnel Selection & Placement. Phil will be supporting ASCR in the HIPS organization. |

Jim Barrett Jim retired from the Company in 2005 after 40 years of service. He held numerous assignments including Store Manager for Toronto Markham, Thunder Bay, Red Deer, Edmonton Kingsway and Edmonton Southgate. Before that he held positions as Credit Manager, Human Resources Manager, UBC Manager, Merchandise Manager and Operating Superintendent. Jim will be supporting ASCR in all of the Edmonton stores and Red Deer. |

Jacques Bedard Jacques retired from the Company in October 2005 as Store Manager Chicoutimi. His previous positions included Store Manager Drummondville, Store Superintendent Fleur de Lys and District Personnel Manager, Quebec. Jacques will be supporting ASCR in the Chicoutimi, Alma and Jonquiere store and all of the Lac St-jean area. |

Peter Bergin Peter retired from the Company in 2006 as President, SLH Transport, after 39 years of service. Some of his other assignments were Manager, Mutual Street Service Centre, National Manager Catalogue Sales operations, and General Manager Catalogue, Atlantic Canada. Peter will be supporting ASCR in Ontario SLH. |

André Bouchard André retired from Sears in December 2002 after 32 years of service. At the time of his retirement he was Store Manager at the Sears Brosssard store. During his career he was also Regional Manager of Training, Regional Manager Lawn and Garden, Store Manager for Lévis, Lasalle and Fleur-de-Lys, Québec. André will be supporting ASCR in the Trois-Rivières, Arthabaska and Drummondville retail stores. |

Bob Carter Bob retired from the Company in October 2007 as Store Manager Regina. He will be supporting ASCR in the Regina and Moose Jaw retail stores and the Regina Catalogue Centre. |

Tom King Tom retired from the Company in 2008 after 35 years of service. Most recently he was IT Project Manager Logistics Systems, D/704 and Logistics/Project Manager on the business side in D/760. Prior to these assignments, he was Parent Inventory Manager D/601. Tom will be supporting ASCR in the Information Technology organization. |

Neil Lacombe Neil retired from the Company in 2008 after 32 years of service. He started in the Moncton store and after 10 years moved to Toronto. During his 22 years in Headquarters he held various positions in the buying offices, where he retired as the Logistics and Quality Manager - Bed and Bath, Housewares, and Window Coverings. Neil will be supporting ASCR in New Brunswick. |

Claude Laroche Claude retired from the Company in 2005. He held positions as Process Manager in Repair Services and as District Manager in the Quebec Region. He will be supporting ASCR in the Pointe-Claire store and in the Montreal and Quebec City service departments. |

Dale Mastre Dale retired from the Company in 2005 after a career of 39 years. He held a variety of positions in the retail organization, beginning in the Meadowlark Edmonton Hardware department in 1966, and including assignments as division manager and store manager, and locations including Kingsway, Prince George, Saskatoon, North Hill, Chinook and Calgary as well as working in Headquarters where he retired. Dale will be supporting ASCR in Metro Calgary. |

Paul Page Paul retired from the Company in 2003 after 35 years of service. He held a variety of positions throughout the business including National Sales Manager, Catalogue and Retail, Childrens Wear; National Manager Public Affairs and Corporate Communications; Operations Manager - Eastern region; Retail Store Manager; and National Manager Licensed Businesses. Paul will be supporting ASCR in Toronto Headquarters. |

Doug Peterson Doug retired from the Company in 2004 after 37 years of service. He held a variety of assignments in the retail organization and in home improvements starting as a commission sales associate in Floor Coverings, moving through a number of managerial assignments in the Garden City and Polo Park stores and retiring as Store Manager, Garden City. Doug will be supporting ASCR in Manitoba. |

Joy Reeves Joy retired from the Company in 2005. She held assignments in the Atlantic region as field in-store marketing manager in soft lines, as Atlantic Regional Marketing Manager and as Regional Marketing Manager. Joy will be supporting ASCR in Nova Scotia. |

Bob Rigg Bob retired from the Company in October, 2006. His most recent positions were General Manager, Resource Investment 702R and General Manager, Home Stores. Bob will be supporting ASCR in the Hamilton, Burlington,St. Catherine, Oakville, Welland, and Limeridge retail stores. |

Luc Sourdif Luc retired from the Company in 2005 after 33 years of service. His most recent positions were as Regional Sales Manager, Eastern Canada for HIPS (including Ottawa, Quebec and the Atlantic) and as Process Regional Manager, Home Central, for all of Quebec. Luc will be supporting ASCR in the Place Vertu and Anjou retail stores and for HIPS throughout Quebec. |

Fred Stirling Fred retired from the Company in 2003 after 34 years of service. He held numerous positions in retail and in Headquarters, starting as a management trainee in Thunder Bay, transferring to Saskatoon and then Toronto where he was a project coordinator and an Assistant National Manager. After another series of moves in retail, he retired as Store Manager, Carlingwood. Fred will be supporting ASCR in the Ottawa and Cornwall retail stores. |

Brian Stone Brian retired from the Company in October 2005. His recent jobs included Store Manager Polo Park, Store Manager Carlingwood and St. Laurent in Ottawa, Store Manager Eatons Vancouver and Store Manager Sears on Robson. Brian will be supporting ASCR for the Greater Vancouver area and Chilliwack. |

Benoît Turgeon Benoît retired from the Company in July, 2003 as Store Manager in the Sherbrooke retail store. Previously he was Assistant Regional Merchandise Manager for children’s wear and men’s wear for Quebec and Merchandise Manager for the Granby Store. Benoît will be supporting ASCR in the Sherbrooke and Granby area. |
